HUSTLE

The scene starts with a young blond conservative woman walking to the highend fashion store. The establishing shot opens up with a pan shot,  the camera work is followed by a mid way shot of the shop keeper with a tilt looking down on the elderly woman, the close ups on the rich woman watch show us details, shot reverse shot has been used to show their conversation, there is a wide shot to show the location and props. The editing is continuous it cuts in motion and it doesn't bored the audience, the edits go with the dialogue between both of the characters the shop keeper and the poor woman whenever one of them talks the shot cuts on the person who's talking this goes for the conversation with the wealthy lady as well right before this scene ends the editing dissolves to black. There is a humble non diegetic soundtrack in the backround, what adds a bit of a comedic genre, it balances it out with the intense diegetic dialogue. Mice en scene, a highend fashion shop, the shopkeeper is a mean looking man  wearing a suit, you can see by the clothes what the elderly lady is wearing that she doesn't have that much money this is contrapuntal to the young blond lady she seems already  rich by her clothing and her watch etc.. The shopkeeper body contact is very toward the old lady but he seems humble around the rich woman.  Through the combination of these techniques, we can see a big difference between how the shop keeper treats the old poor woman vs the rich wealthy woman, he practically drives the old woman away from the shops because she can't afford the dress but around the rich woman he acts all nice because he just wants to make money. You can see the difference of two faced people in this scene.

Young blond realises she has lost her diamond ring what her husband gave her.
The establishing shot opens with a mid shots, what the continues to a close up two the shopkeepers face, after that is when the womans panic stats and a fast pan shot follows her as she runs thought the shop, at the end the camera work does a close up on the womans face. The director has decided to put a handheld shots in there because it creates a sense of panic. The editing is short cut edits , yet again gives us a another sense of panic. There is a non diegetic funny, chaotic soundtrack what gives us the feeling of comedy that its not too serious.  Mice en scene, big part of this seen is the ring that is lost what is causing all this chaos, what has caused the woman to run around shop and mess it completely up while the shopkeeper is trying to calm her down, this is a example of a stressed woman stereotype. the woman breaks the 4th wall with the audience at the end when she looks straight at the camera and says  I'm sure I can. The meaning behind this sequence is how once again everything changed for the shockers mood when he hears about the price of the finds the ring.
